ITAS - Interactive Technology Advisory Scheme
In the early years of interactive whiteboards ITAS successfully secured sponsorship for dozens of schools to experience a new and exciting technology.
Almost 2 decades on and interactive whiteboards (IWB's) are now considered the established teaching devices across the country. But technology has advanced significantly and a growing number of classrooms now utilise interactive “panels”. These large touch sensitive teaching and learning spaces are loaded with educational content, stunning 4k resolution, and inspiring bespoke software. There is no doubt that the contribution these panels make to the learning experience is considerable, but the cost to schools is often prohibitive and most still rely on the older, often failing, IWB equipment.
ITAS is committed to procuring the best available educational technology for as many pupils as possible and, following an industry survey, has secured funding from several sponsors including one of the worlds largest manufacturers of interactive technology, BenQ.
In addition to the physical hardware, many head teachers and senior admin staff have identified a lack of "training" and "support" as a key factor impacting directly on the benefits being delivered to the children by this exciting technology. It is with this in mind that ITAS has developed a full programme of training to support the interactive screens as well as assisting staff in getting the most out of more familiar software such as Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word etc), Smart & Oktopus.
Our experienced educationalists will be with you every step of the way as your school transitions to interactive panel screens and is committed to preventing the abandonment that many felt when projectors and interactive whiteboards were first installed. Sponsorship typically runs at around £2500 per school (where the school has no interactive panels) comprising £1000 towards first panel installations and £1500 towards training and support during the first year.
