A small Devon school was selected to empirically monitor the cost-savings and environmental benefits that can be achieved through using AC for heating. Energy readings were carefully recorded for 2 years before and after installation with significant results.

CONCLUSION

The Remarkable Benefits of Installing Air Conditioning in a Small Rural School The installation of air conditioning in this small school in Devon has resulted in staggering savings on heating costs.

The school is now receiving an annual saving of over £9k, which is a very substantial percentage of their budget. Furthermore, the school has reduced its CO2 emissions by over 5 tonnes per year.
